The Texas Property Rights Coalition is a newly formed organization
founded in 2008. The TXPRC is a 501(c) 6 private, non-profit
organization created with the intent to give Texas property owners a
strong voice in our Texas Legislature. We began as a group of private
property owners along with small business owners in the outdoor
advertising industry with a desire to advocate for private property
rights. In Texas, small businesses are defined as having annual revenue
of $500,000 or less yet comprise 98% of businesses in Texas.
By combining our resources with others groups, the TXPRC will
continue to gain a presence and a voice in the Texas Legislature. Please join us in our efforts to protect your private property rights.
In the past 20 years personal property rights have been
dramatically diminished. In addition, property taxes continue to rise
disproportionately to any other form of taxation. (See attached article). The TXPRC consists
of different industries that are operating in Texas with the same
concerns for individual liberty, free enterprise and the principles of
limited government on issues of private property and its use. Regional
and statewide bills are proposed at every legislative session that could
adversely affect Texas landowners in the ability to control their
property. The TXPRC, through the help of its staff, board members, and
general members, has been effective in advocating for private property
rights of Texas landowners’ in several communities and legislative
sessions. The TXPRC works with lobbyists, volunteers and the media to
continually preserve and advocate the right to control and produce
income on the property that is rightfully owned by Texans across our
great state.
